I thought you might find the following infographic entitled ’11 Basic Guidelines for General Health and Longevity’ from Dr Joseph Mercola interesting. Dr Mercola is a well known American osteopathic physician who believes that proper nutrition, not medicine, is the key to good health.

All of these guidelines make total sense to me and remember with Kinesiology you can find out the foods and drinks that strengthen and weaken your own unique system. As the well known saying goes ‘one man’s meat is another man’s poison‘, so in other words, although raw food can be wonderfully nutritious … eating lots of it can, for example, aggravate certain bowel conditions. So learning what your own body needs to flourish and thrive (rather than following ‘group-think’ mentality about optimum nutrition) is key.

The final guideline (#11) is also a fundamental aspect of good health and I actually encourage my clients to release their stress. Remember as I explain in my book ‘Without the Woo Woo‘, stress is anything that happens inside or outside of the body that triggers the fight, flight or freeze response. Whenever we do this (inaccurately and by that I mean that we are not in a life threatening situation) we are firing up and are in danger of compromising our immune system. If we do this often or over a long period of time … dis-ease is often (if not always) the result.
